Great Weekend!

Last weekend Tim and I had a little fun we started off by heading to Seven Peaks which was a great time. After a nice day in the sun we head up to Salt Lake where we visited the Salt Lake temple which is breath taking and unreal that in the years it was built could even be possible. The next morning we went inside the temple which is always nice and refreshing. Then we headed up to the Hoogle Zoo which I am surprised that they didn't try to keep us with Tim's love for animals he kinda start to act like one! We had a great time and loved the time to just be together.

Blessed with bad luck!

So my blog is looking pretty sad so I thought I would take the time and blog about life. In June we came up on our one year mark which was pretty exciting that we have made it to that point. However shortly after our one year mark our bad luck came out with a trip to Nephi's ER after a good game of softball as Tim will say "the ball is not very soft" because he was hit in the face breaking his nose poor guy. Noses usually can just be put back into to place so everyone tells us but of course with us if we are going to the doctor we are going all out and so Tim has to have surgery on his nose come July 28 of course just the week we had planned to skip town and do something to celebrate our one year anniversary. However how grateful we are that things aren't a lot worse because as we all know just when we think we got bad luck some else is even worse. So we are grateful that we can laugh together as we learn and grow through the good times and the bad.

Finally going to give this a try!

So I have had this blog set up for a few months now just never taken the time to figure it out. So due to my recent shoulder surgery I have about four weeks left of recovery and I am going crazy with having not to much to do decide it was time to try this out.
Life at the Finlayson's has been a little crazy and scary. I had been having pain in my right shoulder for a few months and finally went to go figure out what was going on. After x-rays, CT scan, and MRI found out that I had a cyst/tumor in a small bone in my shoulder. I was then referred to the Huntsman Cancer Center where they did some more x-rays and what not and decide they were just going to go in and take it out. So on Feb. 23 I was admitted into the Huntsman Hospital where they first did a surgery where they cut off the blood supply to the cyst/tumor. Then the next day I went in for surgery where they ended replacing my bone with a cadavers bone because my cyst/tumor had destroyed mine (bone cracked like and egg taking out the cyst/tumor) then basically put me back together. They tested my cyst/tumor and it was negative for cancer which was a great relief and now I am just healing and trying to get my arm functioning again. As for Tim he has been working, going to school, taking care of me, and doing a lot of the house work poor guy. However he has been really good through all of this which I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband.
